For over forty years, the Wantage Mummers have strode into the street on Boxing Day to delight hundreds of people and raise thousands of pounds for charity. This year will be different; COVID-19 has driven the Mummers into cyberspace. By flying back through the cloud, King Alfred, Beau Slasher and the rest of the cast have put together an on-line “COVID-19 Edition” of the play, with Old Father Beelzebub’s usual roundup in verse of the issues for 2020.

The recording will be available from 10 am Boxing Day until Twelfth Night and the site will have a facility to make donations to this year’s charity.
